We proceed to Telouet located right in the center of the mountains. It was formerly the residence of the last Pasha of Marrakech, El Glaoui, from whence the highest pass in Africa, Tizi-n-Tichka was controlled. Each extension to the structure currently sits in ruins exposed to the wind and the rain after it was abandoned and robbed after Thami El Glaoui, fled the country following the departure of the French in 1956.
