Jour 1 : Casablanca- Rabat

Our first day of our 14 Days Imperial Cities, Sahara Desert & Atlantic coast luxury tour around Morocco from Casablanca start at the airport of Casablanca with our welcoming chauffeur awaits you. Depending on your flight’s arrival, immerse yourself in the grandeur of the Hassan II Mosque before transferring to your Hotel in Casablanca.

Day 2: Casablanca- Rabat

Begin your journey in the city center, immerse yourself in the grandeur of the Hassan II Mosque, a remarkable architectural feat inaugurated in 1993 to celebrate the 60th birthday of King Hassan II. This mosque is the second largest religious structure in Africa and boasts the second tallest minaret in the world. After the visit to the mosque, you will drive to the capital, Rabat, and explore the historic Chellah, a 14th century necropolis with Roman foundations. Overnight in a charming riad.

Day 3: Rabat – Chefchaouen

Following a traditional Moroccan breakfast on the riad, your preliminary destination is the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, constructed in honor of the monarch who passed away in 1961. The resting area of his son and successor, Hassan II, who exceeded away in 1999, is also positioned here. Subsequently, a visit to the historic Chellah, supplying insights into Roman, Phoenician, and Muslim records, is on the agenda. Our tour takes us to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Roman remains of Volubilis, spanning a large area and offering views of fertile hills, green fields and magnificent mountains You have the option of hiring a local guide you understand this more in a historically rich area. We then reach the holy city of Moulay Edris Zerhouni. Although non-Muslims are not allowed inside the cemetery, it is worthwhile to explore the main street, which offers beautiful views and charming little shops through the mountains and we finally arrive Fes, where dinner awaits and spend the night in a charming Riad.

Day 5: Guided Tour of Fes

Immerse yourself in a full day of discovery in Fès, the oldest of Morocco’s four imperial cities. Explore Fes el Bali, the remarkably preserved “Old Fes,” where narrow alleys lead to architectural treasures such as the stunning Bou Inania Madrasa and the historic Al Quaraouiyine Mosque. Founded in 859 by Fatima al-Fihri, Al Quaraouiyine is recognized by UNESCO and Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest existing university.

Visit the famous leather tanneries to learn about traditional production methods before heading to Fes el Jdid (“New Fes”) and its Moroccan art museum. Later, enjoy free time in the vibrant medina, browsing silver, pottery, and leather goods. Spend the night in the comfort of a traditional riad.

Day 6: From Fes to the Sahara Desert

Begin your journey from Fès toward the Sahara, passing through Ifrane, known for its alpine-style houses with sloping roofs built to withstand winter snow. Continue via Azrou and the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, where Barbary macaques roam freely among ancient trees. Cross the mountains through Timahdit to Midelt, the “apple capital,” set at the foot of Mount Ayachi, for lunch.

Travel south over Tizi-n-Talghemt Pass and descend into the lush Ziz Valley, dotted with palm groves and adobe villages. Pass through Errachidia, Erfoud—famous for dates and fossils—and Rissani before reaching the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi near Merzouga.

Enjoy a camel ride at sunset to a luxury desert camp, where tea welcomes you. Savor dinner under the stars and overnight in comfort, surrounded by the serene beauty of the Sahara.

Day 7: Sahara Desert

After breakfast, explore the Sahara region in depth. Begin in the village of Khamlia, home to the Gnawa community, descendants of sub-Saharan Africans who preserve their rich musical heritage. Enjoy a live performance of traditional Gnawa rhythms and spiritual music.

Continue to Rissani, cradle of the Alaouite dynasty, Morocco’s current royal family. Surrounded by hundreds of ksars (fortified villages), Rissani hosts a lively souk three times a week, where spices, dates, handicrafts, and local goods fill the market stalls. The town stands on the historic site of Sijilmassa, once a key stop for trans-Saharan caravans arriving from Timbuktu.

In the afternoon, return to the dunes of Erg Chebbi for a relaxing evening at your hotel facing the Dunes. Optional quad or buggy rides are available before dinner and overnight in a luxury riad.

Day 8: From Merzouga to Ouarzazate

The journey continues from Essaouira to Casablanca. After breakfast, embark on the approximately five-hour drive back to the Casablanca. En route, consider a stop in El Jadida to explore the Portuguese cistern and the old Portuguese town. Continuing north along the coast road. Pass by Azemmour (Azamor), a small ancient town on the left bank of the Oum Er-Rabia River. Transfer to your hotel in Casablanca.

Day 14: Transfer to the airport
