Itinerary: 6 Day Tour from Marrakech to Tangier
DAG 1: MARRAKECH – HOGE ATLASGEBERGTE – AIT BEN HADDOU – OUARZAZATE
Set off at 8:30 AM from your riad to begin your journey across the High Atlas Mountains. Through the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Continue to the historic Kasbah Telouet. Once home to the powerful Glaoui family (now closed due to earthquake damage, but still worth viewing from outside). Travel through the beautiful Ounila-vallei, dotted with Berber villages and smaller kasbahs. Visit at the famous Aït Benhaddou. Afterward, continue to Ouarzazate, where you’ll spend the night in a comfortable riad.
DAG 2: OUARZAZATE – SKOURA OASE – ROZEN VALLEI – DADES-VALLEI.
After breakfast, continue east along the High Atlas with your first stop at Skoura Oasis, where you’ll visit the restored Kasbah Amridil, a great example of traditional Berber architecture. Next, head to Kelaa M’Gouna in the famous Valley of Roses, known for its annual rose festival and local cosmetic products. Continue by 4×4 to meet nomadic families and share tea before reaching Dades Gorge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy free time to relax or explore the valley before checking into a kasbah for an overnight stay.
DAG 3: DADES VALLEI – KLOVEN VAN TODRA – MERZOUGA – KAMEEL TREKKING – OVERNACHTING IN HET KAMP
After breakfast, your journey continues toward Tinghir and the stunning Todra Gorges. Here you can enjoy a walk between its high, narrow cliffs. Along the way to the Erg Chebbi dunes, pass through Tinjdad En Erfoud. It is known for its fossils and date festival, and explore ancient underground water systems. Continue to Kanton Rissani, a historic town and former royal seat, before reaching the desert where camels will take you to a luxury camp. Enjoy dinner and an unforgettable night under the stars surrounded by the peaceful dunes.
DAG 4: MERZOUGA – RISSANI –ZIZ VALLEI – IFRANE – FES

We gaan dan verder door de Atlas door Tizi N Talghomt, de Midden-Atlas’ hoogste pas, en kom aan bij het cederbos, waar je een stop maakt om de beroemde inheemse apen te zien die daar leven. DAG 5: FES – RONDLEIDING DOOR FES – KANTON CHEFCHAOUEN
A city tour of Fez takes you through its historic medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with narrow alleys, souks, and traditional crafts. Highlights include the University of Al Quaraouiyine (the world’s oldest university), the famous Chouara tanneries, the Marinid Tombs for panoramic views, and the Ibn Danan Synagogue in the Mellah, showcasing the city’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
DAG 6: CHEFCHAOUEN – TANGER
Head towards another city in North-West Morocco, Tangier. Its diverse population has drawn both locals and tourists of note, including Tennessee Williams and The Rolling Stones. Walk along the promenade along the sea. The markets and souk of Tangier are vibrantly colorful. Sitting on a bay within the Strait of Gibraltar, it is a port city and a major trade link for Morocco. Tangier has long been a well-known haven for writers and artists seeking refuge. Mohammed Choukri, a well-known Moroccan writer from Tangier, made friends with other luminaries of literature while there, including Tennessee Williams and Paul Bowles. Back to your hotel or riad.
